most technical things around cars are still typically communicated in imperial units (quarts of oil, PSI of pressure, rim diameter in inches, horsepower to measure output, foot pounds for torque, etc) in fact, it’s so pervasive that in some machine shops they use imperial units to the deferment of precision in order to appease A merican blue prints and designs. Some crazy people even measure fuel economy in kilometers per liter.... but that’s more of an anglicism.
